Painted Jeans Starter Kit

I’m most known for starting the painted jeans boom with my viral tutorials and now thousands of people are painting their own jeans!

If the artists or creatives in your life are the crafty type, they will probably love a starter kit of supplies!

Art Cart

An art cart is the perfect way for artists and creatives to store all their art supplies, books, and crafting materials!

I absolutely love mine and how easy it is to store and organize all my art things and wheel them around. The one I have comes in a few different colors, too!

Vincent van Gogh Washi Tape

Washi tape is a great multi-use tape that spruces up any scrapbook, journal, or other paper surface!

These van Gogh washi tapes are the perfect combo of artsy and crafty. I love mine.

Tombow Brush Markers

These brush markers are my favorite for my weekly journal spreads! They have a great range of colors and draw beautifully.

These ones are dual-tip, with a brush on one end and a fine-tip marker on the other side.

Women in Art Book

This beautifully illustrated book covers 50 different women artists of all different styles and mediums.

It also comes in a Kindle version, so make sure you’re getting the physical copy if that’s what you want!

Paint Brushes

Every artist could use a nice, new set of paintbrushes. Princeton Velvetouch is my all-time favorite and this set has a good variety of sizes/styles. I also love their Select Artiste line!

These brushes work for multiple mediums: acrylic, watercolor, and oil, making them versatile for many different types of artists.

Paint Brush Holder

A little luxury item that artists wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves is a handmade, ceramic brush holder.

These brush holders are colorful, have a fun aesthetic, and incredibly useful while painting!

Smartphone Photo Printer

A sleek, handheld printer is a fun gift for anyone, but especially a creative person! There’s so much you can do with photos that can be immediately printed directly from your phone.

It’s great for scrapbooks, journals/junk journaling, or a corkboard.

Fine Art Puzzle

A puzzle that becomes a piece of fine art once completed is a great gift for an artist or art lover.

Eurographics has a huge selection of puzzles featuring fine art paintings! They’re made in the USA, recyclable, and printed with vegetable-based inks (eco-friendly!).

Art Dice

All artists get creative block on occasion, and these wooden art dice were invented specifically to cure it! Roll the dice for drawing/painting prompts and styles.

They can be used by one person or played as a game with multiple people!

Venus de Milo Marble Sculpture

A real marble sculpture that comes directly from Greece! I have a few sculptures from this company and love them.

They’re cast marble, not hand-carved, but just as beautiful!

Artsy Fartsy Candle

The Burlap Bag is my favorite candle company and I love their Artsy Fartsy candle!

It’s a cute and great-smelling gift for an artist or artsy fartsy person. They have a ton of other incredible and unique scents β€” I have a couple dozen different candles I bought from them!

Embroidered Tote DIY

This veggie tote is more than just a normal cotton bagβ€”it has all the tools needed to embroider the veggie design!

A customizable, DIY tote is a fun and unique gift for a creative person who may not have tried embroidery before.

Window Suncatcher

A window suncatcher streams lovely rainbows into a room when the sun hits it!

Hemleva has the best ones and I have a few in different windows around my home. They stick to windows well and come off cleanly when you want to move or remove them.

Shower Notepad

We creative people tend to have a lot of thoughts/ideas buzzing around in our heads throughout the day (and night).

The shower tends to be the only place I can think clearly; this special waterproof shower notepad and pencil have been amazing!

I never forget the thoughts or ideas I come up with while showering anymore since I can easily write them all down.

Masterpiece Mousepad

I’ve had the Waterlillies mousepad for a few years now and still looks brand new after daily use. The quality is great, cat hair doesn’t cling to it, and there are multiple painting designs to choose from!

The natural rubber bottom keeps the mousepad in place and the stitched edges make it look nicely finished.

Sculpd Air Dry Clay Kit

Air-dry clay has become a wildly popular craft in the last few years and this kit has it all! I have this exact kit and love how easy they make it to create ceramic pieces without a kiln or glazes.

This would be such a great gift for an artist or creative person who doesn’t have access to a kiln but still wants to make ceramic art.

Van Gogh Chocolate Tin

Get artisanal chocolates from The Met Museum, packaged beautifully in a tin with Vincent van Gogh’s Wheatfield With Cypresses painting.

This tin, cast from the original Louis Sherry tin from the 19th century, contains 12 assorted chocolates. It’s a thoughtful gift for an art lover who also enjoys quality chocolates.

Cats in Art

Artists and cat lovers have a large overlap on the vendiagram! I have yet to meet an artist who doesn’t love cats.

This hardcover book is perfect for an artist and cat lover to display on their coffee table or desk. It’s written and illustrated by one of my favorite artists, Nia Gould.

David Bust Vase

A small vase based on the incredible David statue would look amazing in any artist’s home! This one is small and could even be used as a pen/brush holder on a desk or decor on a shelf.

Kessler

I’m a travel blogger and photographer from the San Francisco Bay Area, splitting my time between there and Santa Barbara. I love to share comprehensive guides about my travels, with a focus on all things sun, sea, and beach! When I’m not exploring new destinations (probably somewhere by the coast), I love being home with my husband and two fluffy kitties, Captain Jack and Sparrow.
